Mrs. Bradley and her husband Brown, lived on the West Side of Manhattan during the 1970's. During that time, the infamous "Cafe des Artistes," owned by the restaurant mogul, George Lang, was seeking a new spin on desserts for their menu. Mr. Lang wanted to feature talented neighbors from the West Side who could provide these special desserts and Mrs. Bradley was one of these chosen few. This was her opportunity to introduce her pecan pie.
Mrs. Bradley was selected as one the bakers of the restaurant and was known for delivering her pies in a little red wagon.
Mrs. Bradley enjoyed baking at "Cafe des Artistes" and other restaurants in New York and was later mentioned in Gourmet magazine for her outstanding pie.
What sets apart Mrs. Bradley's pecan pie, aside from the delicious filling, is her delectible flaky crust that cannot be duplicated.
We hope that you enjoy it and will spread the word to all of your friends and family!
